What we believe guides and inspires our mission to equip people to join God in bringing others into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
He has eternally existed and is the creator of the universe and maker of everything in Heaven and on Earth. He is coequal and coeternal with the Son and the Holy Spirit; triune and one God.
He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. His death gained salvation for all who receive it as a gift by trusting in Him alone. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.
He is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ, creates faith in our hearts and equips believers for personal growth and service to God.
We affirm and align with the historic statements of faith. We believe that all who are baptized are baptized into the faith and affirm the faith as expressed
in the Apostles Creed.
We align our unity of faith in the expression of the Nicene Creed as together we partake in the Lord’s Supper, and we affirm the power and the work of the Trinity.
Our leadership team works together to shape the vision and direction of Peace Lutheran.
We accept and preach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three phrases:
Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone.
Peace Lutheran established in 1976 and belongs to the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Synod comes from the Greek word “walking together,” and that’s exactly what we do.
We believe God calls us for a greater purpose than ourselves and we walk that journey through Word, Worship, & Witness.
